Right after shooting Natalie I headed down to Ypsi to shoot Katelyn. We went to a farm I shoot at occasionally, but once we got there, the owner told us he had just opened up a new dock. So we got to continue the exploration (I kind of feel like Dora, but with a bigger back pack and no map). The place was awesome! We found a lot of cool areas to shoot, and other than the human sized mosquitos that devoured us while we shot, the location was ideal!

So, can I just say, I love shooting seniors?! Every single one of them is so different, with different personalities, different styles, different tastes, different smiles. OK, so that was pretty lame that I just rhymed, but you get the picture. One of my favorite elements of being a photographer is being able to create. Create something new and different. In fact I make it my goal to do something extremely different in every shoot. Part of the reason is to challenge myself to learn, and grow. Part is to feed that creative element that drives my passion for what I do. And part, also, is to create something unique and different for each client. There are as many locations to shoot as there are seniors in the world. The typical choice of today is urban. I love urban. I love the textures, the colors, and the variety that can be found throughout this state. However, I also love change. So you can imagine my excitement when Alli decided she wanted to do her shoot at this farm. Honestly, she couldn’t have selected a better place. It fit her, and her style perfectly! Here a few images from her shoot. Thanks Alli!
