Had a great shoot with Mieh at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens a couple weeks ago. Here are a few of my faves from her shoot.

The cold, dark days are fast approaching (man, I make Michigan winters sound sound like the apocalypse!), but the Matthaei Botanical Gardens are still offering up some awesome landscapes. Love that place! Each time I go, it’s like an adventure to see what cool new areas we can find to shoot. And last week, it made the perfect back drop for my shoot with Dani…here are a few of my faves.

A quick preview from my shoot with Rebecca last week.

I loved it. Kim emailed me requesting a shoot…just because. People always seem to need a reason to be photographed – graduation, wedding, birthday, model portfolio, etc etc etc. Those are all great reasons, but I think I loved Kim’s the best. Just because! She totally brought it with some killer traditional attire – I absolutely loved the color and style of the her clothing. Thanks Kim, you were awesome, and I had great time shooting with you!!!

Let me just start by saying, I LOVE THIS FAMILY!!! We moved to Michigan just over three years ago, and Isabella’s sister was one of the first people shot by my wife, Jean. We were newbies in town, and they totally took a chance on us for this important day in their daughter’s life…and we’re SO glad they did! Since that fateful day in 2007, we’ve had the opportunity to share our passion with loads of families and seniors. It was way fun to reconnect with them and shoot Isabella’s senior session. Isabella, you were incredible! Thanks so much to you and your family, you’ve been wonderful, and we’re so flattered to consider ourselves your friends!

Alright! So I’ve been sand bagging…not exactly sure what that’s supposed to mean, but I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s time for a monster post day…The last couple weeks have been insane, and I’ve had the privilege of working with a lot of great seniors. Unfortunately, I’ve been shooting faster than I can blog them! So, I decided last night I had to get some previews out there for all the anxious parties. The result? Prepare yourselves for a superdy duper senior blog day! Wait, did I just quote Barney?! Man, not only am I quoting lame, singing dinosaurs, but I’m quoting lame singing dinosaurs from like a decade ago! So anyways, I digress…I’m going to post one senior every hour for the next several hours. I’ve been keeping way too many people hanging, so get ready, start your engines, on your marks, or any other lame cliche you prefer, here goes!

Long time, no blog!!! It seems like forever since I posted an update. But as you may have seen on our facebook page, it’s been a whirl wind of activity as of late, from weddings to seniors, to family (mine, in town). Nonetheless, let me repent of my neglect by sharing some images from a great senior I shot last week in Ann Arbor. Amelia!

I couldn’t help it! I had to share just one more senior shoot before we split for our trip up north. A few images from Alexa’s senior shoot this week.
