Our studio at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit made a perfect backdrop for Gabe’s shoot. He was awesome to work with and I’m thinking I want to stay on his good side. Imagine being hit by this powerhouse in a football game.

Had a great shoot with Scott in Northville, here’s a small taste from his shoot.

A few from my recent shoot with Jaime at Central Park in Milford.

Had an awesome shoot with Elayna at the studio, then next door at the Bazaar. Here are a few from our shoot.

Loved this shoot with Sarah! She said she was interested in going a little more editorial. Loved her style, and had an awesome time working with her! Here are few from our shoot.

Kelsey – imported from Ohio. Made a quick stop at Bella Scappare for styling, then straight to Pontiac for an incredible shoot. Not sure she can take a bad picture! Thanks Kelsey for making the trip and for just being SO FREAKING AWESOME!

After a couple reschedules due to our lovely fall rains, we were finally given a beautiful day! Fatema’s father arranged it so we could shoot at the Henry Ford Estate, which was incredible! Loved the location, the weather, the light, and of course Fatema was awesome and totally rocked the shoot!

Totally Rad…No Seriously…

September 28, 2011

LOVE Totally Rad‘s new interface for Photoshop called RadLab. I’ve been a huge fan of their actions for some time now, and use their actions in just about every shoot I retouch. And now they’ve made my job not only easier, but way more fun! If you haven’t checked out RadLab, here’s a little peak. Oh yeah, and just so you know, you could WIN THIS awesome plugin (or $$$ to spend at Totally Rad) through a contest we’re holding over at Jean’s blog.

RadLab basically acts as a filter, and when launched opens your image, and on the right hand side of the screen shows thumbnails of what your image would look like with the actions (or stylets) applied. Every time you apply a stylet, it updates all the thumbnails. AND you can then adjust the effects with several sliders after you apply each action. AND you can then save your “recipe” for use later on other images. AND after you apply the final recipe, you can always go back into RadLab and change it up (assuming you haven’t flattened your image). SERIOUSLY AWESOME!!! Check out the images below.

After clicking finish, you are brought back to Photoshop with a new layer containing the actions you’ve applied. You can then adjust the opacity of the layer, or double click on the smart filter (see below) to enter RadLab and tweak your settings, add new effects, or simply start over.

Here a few versions of my image with some of my favorite recipes applied…

Bobby is awesome. What else can I say? He’s one of our senior reps, and rocked his shoot. On top of that, he’s soccer king! Check him out.

With our last He Said She Said Photography workshop for the year behind us, it’s time to settle down and get back to our somewhat normal life! The workshop was awesome, and we’re excited to take it on the road next year (details coming soon), but for now, it’s nice to get back to shooting, editing, and sharing! Here are a few images from my recent shoot with Derek.
