Zeinab – Class of 2012

December 14, 2011

Check out a few shots from Zeinab’s shoot last week. She’ll be the last senior post of the year, but stay tuned for some other random posts and shoots, some I’ve had squirreled away for a while, others more recent. But without further adieu, here’s Zeinab!

Had a great shoot with Mieh at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens a couple weeks ago. Here are a few of my faves from her shoot.

A few from my recent shoot with Anna!

Cassi and her family are close friends of our family, and I was stoked to be able to work with them on Cassi’s senior shoot! As an actress, singer, and all around magnificent performer, she made the perfect subject for the shoot. And to top it all off, she and her mom worked it out so we could shoot in the Opera House in Howell! Here are a few from her shoot.

The cold, dark days are fast approaching (man, I make Michigan winters sound sound like the apocalypse!), but the Matthaei Botanical Gardens are still offering up some awesome landscapes. Love that place! Each time I go, it’s like an adventure to see what cool new areas we can find to shoot. And last week, it made the perfect back drop for my shoot with Dani…here are a few of my faves.

Ali – Class of 2012

November 3, 2011

Total captain. Ali was awesome. I absolutely love when people bring themselves to the shoot, and Ali brought 100%. From props to wardrobe, he totally killed it. We started at the studio, hit a couple buildings there, then headed over to Eastern Market to wrap it up.

One of the most fun parts of my job is trying to capture the individuality and personality of my clients. Location is a huge part of that, and picking the right location to tell the seniors’ story is definitely key. So when Zeinab asked if we could shoot some at her house, and maybe even her room, I jumped on the chance. Where better can a senior be who they are than in their home and room?! And of course the yard and home were beautiful, and definitely contributed to an awesome shoot!

I had a great shoot with Chris a couple weeks ago. This was my second opportunity to work with his family (awesome, because they totally rock it, you can see his sister’s pics here). It was new territory for me, so we had a great time just exploring and finding some cool places to shoot. I actually dig hitting new places, it keeps things fresh and helps spawn a bit of creativity. Here are a few of my faves from his shoot.

Our studio at the Russell Industrial Center in Detroit made a perfect backdrop for Gabe’s shoot. He was awesome to work with and I’m thinking I want to stay on his good side. Imagine being hit by this powerhouse in a football game.

Had a great shoot with Scott in Northville, here’s a small taste from his shoot.
